As our Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations. The person holding this role will work closely with our international finance team, out of the AAP Aviation Head Office by the Oslo Fjord in Norway. You’ll have the chance to contribute to the success and growth of our company while advancing your career in a supportive and rewarding workplace.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the company’s financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Responsible for handling daily cash payments
  • Follow up queries from internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Create outgoing invoices.
  • Frequent reconciliation of bank accounts to support Cash flow reporting.
  • Ensure accurate processing of General Ledger entries .
  • Overseeing intercompany balance and netting process
  • Maintaining and preparing journal entries for fixed assets, prepayments and accruals
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly AP/AR report with commentary
  • VAT reconciliation and submission
  • Payroll reconciliation (payroll is outsourced).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Ad hoc financial tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience with general accounting is considered an advantage, but graduates will also be considered for the position.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian. Both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
